Operating
or True Lease
This is a lease in which the lessor owns the aircraft and is listed as
the registered owner with the FAA. The lessee may be able to deduct the
full monthly rental payments for business usage of the aircraft. At the
end of the lease term the lessee may exercise the option to purchase or
return the aircraft.
Finance
or Capital Lease
With this lease structure the lessee is listed as the owner of the aircraft,
subject to the lease agreement, and is listed as the registered owner
of the aircraft with the FAA. For business use of the aircraft, the lessee
could claim available depreciation, and write off the interest portion
of the lease payments. (All clients should contact their accountant regarding
these tax issues.)
In order to comply
with the IRS and FASB guidelines, the lessee must exercise the option
prior to the expiration of the lease.
What
are the benefits of offering aircraft leasing?
Businesses that use our service are not bound to one manufacturer. Your
clients can select the aircraft that best suits his or her needs. The
lease can be structured as either an operating lease or a financing lease.
(Operating leases are usually three to seven years in duration. Finance
leases may be longer.) The lease can be structured with a fixed dollar
buyout, meaning the client may have the option to purchase the leased
aircraft any time after the first year. The asset and associated lease
debt do not have to appear on the client's balance sheet.

we also service aircraft manufacturers and vendors who wish to offer leasing
to their customers.

vendors and manufacturers out sourced leasing, it gives them more to offer
to their customer without the hassle of administering the leases.
